For this project, we undertook a major transformation by raising the house 1.5 meters and rotating it 30 degrees to align perfectly with the fence line, optimizing the property’s layout. The renovation introduced soaring 10-foot ceilings across three levels, creating a sense of grandeur and openness throughout the home. We maximized the use of space, adding a bar, entertainment and rumpus room, multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and a spacious three-car garage, each thoughtfully integrated to enhance functionality and lifestyle.

On the middle level, we designed an expansive kitchen and living area, opening up to a large veranda, ideal for hosting and enjoying the outdoors. This level becomes the heart of the home, combining both comfort and luxury, with easy transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. The top floor was reserved for the master suite, which includes a breathtaking main bedroom with a luxurious bath, creating a private retreat for the homeowners.

In keeping with the colonial charm of the original structure, we carefully selected Australian hardwoods and softwoods, as well as natural marbles and granites, to blend the traditional with the contemporary. The rejuvenation of the original VJ timbers and pressed metal ceilings was a key part of the design, ensuring that the home’s history was not only preserved but celebrated. These elements bring warmth and character to the new spaces, offering a tangible connection to the home's past.

This renovation beautifully marries the heritage of the existing home with modern luxury, creating a timeless residence that honors its colonial roots while offering all the conveniences of contemporary living. Through careful attention to detail and craftsmanship, we’ve crafted a space that is both functional and elegant, ensuring that this home will continue to be a treasured piece of history for generations to come.
